AI Writing Lab: Discovering what GPT can and can't do to improve your writing process

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, check-in, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The introduction of AI tools has the power to fundamentally change the writing process, and already has many teachers worried about plagiarism and academic honesty. However, helping students get a handle on how and when using AI can actually improve their process and product is by far the best way we can both teach and assess student writing and honor the reality that generative AI will be a fundamental part of their school and work lives.
In this workshop, participants will engage in an experiment to discover which parts of the writing process are most aided by AI tools, and discuss strategies for replicating this multi-part exercise with their students.
