This session will delve into innovative strategies and practical insights for educators, literacy specialists/instructional coaches, and administrators with a focus on using the Seesaw platform to support struggling readers and students with dyslexia.

Presentation Highlights:
Understanding Dyslexia: We will begin by unraveling the complexities of dyslexia, shedding light on its definition, characteristics and challenges. Attendees will be able to articulate common myths surrounding dyslexia as well as understand the importance of structured literacy approaches in effective reading instruction.

Seesaw for Education: Discover how Seesaw, a versatile digital platform, can be harnessed to create structured literacy activities for struggling readers and students with dyslexia.

Structured Literacy Activities: Dive into the heart of the presentation, where attendees will explore a range of structured literacy activities for a variety of reading skills (e.g. phonemic awareness, phonics, word reading and spelling, fluency, sentence writing, and more). Guidance on adapting these activities for various age groups and skill levels will be provided.
